I had my FreeBSD box dialing into a friend's box for awhile, while he was
temporarily handling my domain. He used the gettytab/pppd solution, I
believe, and had a separate (probably kermit) script enabling auto-answer
for a time window in the wee hours of the morning. It worked like a charm.
I can probably snag the setup from him, if it saves someone time. Also,
setting up CHAP/PAP authentication is a piece of cake on FreeBSD. As
Jordan says, `man pppd'.

As for the Win95 configuration necessary to support that, I haven't done
it, but I know folks who have. We were using CHAP authentication at my
former employer. I dialed in via my FreeBSD box, but there were folks who
were coming in via Win95. I'll ask one of them how he configured the box,
and post the information (unless someone beats me to it).
