I typed ./xf86quake, and up it came.

What version of X are you using?

You obviously never used any modern setup tool for X. I have both
320x200 and 320x240 as X modes, even though I am usually using 1280x1024.

vid_mode 5 is 320x200.

Oh, and there is something special --- or rather, there isn't. The Milennium
is not supported by svgalib, which means it is used like any ordinary
256k VGA card.

Your ET6000 --- what modes does it offer you?
