I'm running a 2.1.5R box (I know i am about to upgrade to 2.2.2) and
sendmail has just recently started to behave badly. Here is the problem.

I have about 111 unkilled sendmail processes ranging from :

sendmail: running queue: /var/spool/mqueue (sendmail)

to things like:

sendmail: JAA16254 home.gis.net.: client RCPT (sendmail)

Like I said I have 111 of these processes. They aren't taking up memory
nor cpu time as far as I can tell. They have been open for a few days
now. This happened over the 4th of July and I just killed them all hoping
they wouldn't come back. They did. So I was just wondering where I
should start in tracking done this oddity. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
