I think these were different machines.  The 2200 was a
little-endian-only box that was only intended to be an NT machine. I
was introduced briefly in the US, then pulled back to Japan, then
pulled entirely. The EWS 4800 line runs UNIX, and is indeed marketed
only in Asia Pacific.
