This is a known problem and we currently have no idea why it happens -
it appears to be fairly rare, and none of our test machines will
cooperate by doing it.  We're investigating the problem and hope to
release a new correctional boot floppy soon (and no, I don't know when
that will be).  In the meantime, if you still have a 2.2.1 boot floppy
then you can use it for installing 2.2.2 if you simply change the
release string in the options menu.
