I'm just working on the same problem. There is one thing I'm not
certain about:

If I let sendmail create the "Message-ID" and "Received" headers
(which it should according to the book), they contain references
to an "imaginary" host/domain. Is this really ok?
A "Received: by mybox.europe.earth.universe" doesn't really give a
hint where the message came from.

I was hacking leafnode over the weekend to strip the Path-header from
my posts, but now it looks like I can ignore my second thoughts
and just let sendmail/leafnode slam my private domain onto my posts.
