Yes, it is possible. See the man page for kbdcontrol. Please be warned that there was a bug in the console driver when changing histroy buffer size. Do not set the size less than the number of rows of the console, even by accident. The bug was just recently found and fixed. So, the next release of FreeBSD will be free of this bug. Kazu
