I see the new docs on-line, under 'tutorial' on rebuilding from source
- is there a way to build /etc, etc. :) without putting them in a temp
directory first? Would it be sufficient to not define 'DESTDIR'.
Effectively, I would like to do the equivalent of a new install
without blowing out the existing /home directory. I can backup /etc
first, of course.

Where is this documented? I set up cvsup, and it actually seems to be
more convenient than installing from CD..., but 'make world' does NOT
remake /etc. This is an issue with 2.2.2 because of the new rc.conf
file.

I will of course keep the CD subscription because I think Jordan and
all should get paid for all of the good work.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!
