What's the easiest way to transact .doc sources from Microsoft
Word (presumably a volatile mix of Word 95, Word 97, and perhaps
an occasional earlier version--I understand Word has poor com-
patibility between releases) using a modestly-equipped but
adequately peppy FreeBSD-on-PC host? If I spend money for a
copy of Word 95, will I be able to get wine working well enough
to satisfy me? Is there any other handy way to review .doc-s?
Is there something in the public domain that can read and write
RTF?

Eventually I'll be asking similar questions for FrameMaker; is
there any hope Adobe'll release one for FreeBSD? Does an FM-
for-PC run OK through wine?
