Hi,

I'm trying to install FreeBSD 2.2.1 using the Walnut Creek CD-ROM and have
the following problem :

- If I choose "skip configuration" from the initial menu, it tries to
identify my peripherals from the compiled list, and finds a UHA device at
address 0x330. However I have no such device. When it further queries the
device it gets a bad SCSI response, and goes into a loop printing the same
error message over and over again.
- If I choose the 2nd option to disable the devices I know I dont' have,
then when proceeding to install the screen goes blank and it hangs. This
happens whether I use the Visual or CLI mode. BTW, this scheme also fails
on another computer, however on that other computer I managed to install
the OS using the "skip config" option because in that case it didn't find
any peripherals that would hang it.

What's up? Does the option to disable device checks work at all ?
Any help, pointers, etc much appreciated.
