After about 6 internet tries at installing 3.0 snap, even with calling
the ALL sources (lots of stuff there)..... I can't get X11 on the box.
All the accessories and packages are installed, but the basic X11 is
not. I was downloading from current.freebsd.org. Should I be using
some other site? Also, if all I have left is X11 to install, can it
be done without invoking the whole install all over again? Every time
I try to set the distribution for X11, it pulls in User or Developer,
and tries to install itself all over again..... quite redundant, and
very time consuming to go nowhere.

Maybe if all else fails, how would I go about a manual X11 install
from /tmp via a download of all the X11 stuff to there? That would
be the cat xxxx | gzip -d | tar whatever if memory serves me correctly.
Disk space is no problem, thankfully, so I can load tmp if I need to.

Any pointers appreciated.

Almost there....

p.s. Kudos to the FreeBSD crowd. It is much better than earlier
versions, for the neophyte geek to install.
