I am somewhat surprised that nobody mentioned the term `licensing' here yet;
but probably these days it is better not to talk about licensing and
386BSD in the same sentence :-)

Anyway, if I need DOS to boot 386BSD, I will definitely need to pay for
a DOS license - something which sounds to me quite contrary to one of the
original goals of 386BSD.
