Hi,

I have FreeBSD 2.1.6 on a 486/VLB system. In the system I have a sound
card.

I would like to output WAV files to the sound card. I've made the device
nodes for /dev/dsp et al. and when I just copy the WAV file to /dev/dsp,
some sound is output. However, not the entire file can be heard.
Where could I find information about sound programming under FreeBSD?

What I want to do is to add "appropriate" sounds to a judo demonstration
and I have not yet found a Windoze program that does exactly what I
want.
