I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I would like an answer. I am
attempting to install FreeBSD. I have tried on 3 completely different
computers. I tried it on my desktop, my old 386 computer, and even my
notebook. I have run into the same problem every time. During
installation, when using the PPP dialer to dial my ISP, I switch to the PPP
terminal and type "term". I then type my modem commands "ATDT1609....".
Nothing appears on my screen and more importantly nothing happens with the
modem. I finally gave up and decided to use the disks. When I tried
installing with the disks it didn't work (it was about a month ago so I
forget exactly what happened.) I must be doing something wrong. Does
anyone know what it is?

Thank you very much,

Chris
