I had exactly the same symptoms.  I have a 1542B with an LXT-200 disk,
Wangtek 5150ES tape, and LMS-214 CDROM.  Unfortunately, the problem is *NOT*
reproduceable.  Right now, the driver is workiung fine, and I've changed
nothing since the write errors were reported.

Anyone have any clues on this?
