When I use /dev/rst1 I get the same result.  Just so you know /dev/rst0 is
HP Sure-Store that I have no problem writing to (there are two drives on
the same SCSI Chain - the 1 Gig backs up to smaller boxes and the 4 gig the
primary server).  I guess my real questions is - is there anyway to
reformat tape? Should there be any need?  This all worked fine before they
MC3000XL's where QIC-3020 formatted.
