I'm attempting to track down the changes from BSD 4.3 to 4.4, but found very
little to go on. After spending several hours web searching and sifting
through minnie's bsd news archive I could'nt find any documentation of the
actual changes.

I'm trying to find out when BSD required an ip packet going through a raw
socket to have the ip_len field set to host byte order rather than network byte
order.

Basically I'm trying to find out when this bug occured and what systems are
affected.

Does anyone know when this came into affect?
