Hello

I'm trying to set up a new box with FreeBSD and X windows.
I have setup startx/xinit OK and I can use this to run an X session...(I
had to delve deep into the man pages to find that I had to change the
.xerverrc to exec my XF86_S3 server, but I did it..)

However, when I try to use xdm, I get the logon screen, and when I logon,
it all loads up.....a few xterms amd the clock etc, and then it shuts down
again and opens up the logon screen..I can never get it working. Like xdm,
the man pages all seem to go round in circles..everything depends on
something else and it is all as clear as mud.

I know this is going to be something simple, but has anyone any ideas as to
where to start?

Much appreciated

Dirc
