System binaries. Not (usually) executed by mortals. The ones in /sbin
were *static*ally linked binaries in SunOS 4.1.x, which I suspect is
the true origin of "sbin". (You had to get certain things set up
before you could NFS mount /usr which contained the shared libraries
...)
