"Release Engine"????? Perhaps that is so, but in that case my
ignorance is even more shameful than I previously thought, because
I now must ask, What is a "Release Engine"? (BTW, how is it
pronounced? If it stands for "Release Engine", perhaps it would
be pronounced "relenj"--I've been saying it to rhyme more or less
with "a fling".)

: Shouldn't this be on the "acronyms" thread ? ;P

I considered that, but didn't post it there because I didn't want
to see what other people *guessed* it was--I can guess myself--I
was hoping that someone who actually knew where the term came from
would answer.
