FYI,

I use 2940's in two linux PC's here, our news server, and our
web/quthentication server. Both are running 2.0.30, and both never miss
a beat. In fact, the web/auth server presently has an uptime of 41
days.

These servers are not under a HUGE load, but they seem to work fine.

News server ha 2 x 3.2GB Fireball Quantums, and the web/auth server has
1 x HP 2GB, a SCSI DAT and a SCSI CD-ROM
