I've got this on my list of things to look at (there have been a few
such reports, but I can't reproduce this myself - mostly because I
havn't given it enough time).  In the meantime, I'd suggest using ppp
rather than pppd.  ppp -alias works fine, and I also run ppp w/ natd
with no problems.

If you're worried about the overhead, your best bet is "ppp -alias".
