Not really.  Just about everything interesting will create a
postscript file.  You then need ghostscript (a.k.a. gs) to
"image" that postscript file into a big lump of binary that
your printer understands.  You can set up a print filter that
does the "gs" for you, or even use something like apsfilter
(a smart script) to do a "file" on your input and figure
out what filter program to use.

Ghostscript 4.02 knows about a load of binary formats:

The epson device may suit your printer - probably.  Dunno for sure.
