Odd.  I just loaded up xperfmon++ here on my 2.2.2 system (which
shouldn't be that substantially different than 2.2.1 where this is
concerned) and it runs great - I've been beating up the various stats
for over an hour now and it's not misbehaved in any way.  Kind of slick,
actually - thanks for inducing me to look at this. ;-)
