I believe that natd requires 2.2.x to run.  You also need to compile in
DIVERT sockets into the kernel.

Really, why?

Go buy a cheap Pentium PC.  If all you want to do is run natd, you
should be able to configure a system for < AUD 1000.00 !  Depending on
the packet rate, you can probably get by with a 66dx2 system.  I'm sure
you can find one of those pushed into a corner somewhere...
