Using FBSD 2.2.2 turns me into big trouble!
I used FBSD 2.1.7.1 prior as a server system at our
institute and switched then to FBSD 2.2.2. Since then I
have big trouble with the NCR SCSi controler! Before
upgrading such errors never occured!

While booting the kernel I obtain errors on several devices,
mostly the SCSI controler itself. The device produces
an error like nrc0:0:0: fatal error
or restart or couldn't get size or anything else (size-errors
only in the case probing fails on a device, not on the controler
itself).

The other problem regards toward the backup. Using a Wangtek ES5525
tape drive using FBSD 2.1.7.1 I could read, write and move back
the backups I made. Now it's impossible to replace the stuff on
the tape. What happened? Is FBSD 2.2.2 that unreliable that it
has problems with SCSI device/controlers?

Any help is welcome!

Best wishes and thanks in advance

O. Hartmann
