Yes, I found the same to be true.  I just got through reinstalling 3.01
Gold because of it!

I was trying Communicator to see if it would fix problems I had with
JavaScript under 3.01 (floating point exception when using Net Search). 
While it did clear the problem, I was handed a worse one!

Oh, well.....
