Hi!

During creating the boot floppy from a FreeBSD 2.7.1 CD via the script
(makeflp.bat I think) under Dos I got "Sector not found" without any
details. Of course this is some media problem (or drive problem - of
course) but which of the two is it?

And related to this: Executing this script in a Dos box under Windows
produced strange sounds. As if it had problems with writing to the disk
sectorwise instead via Dos interrupts. Was it wise to try it under
Windows?

Finally I got a working boot disk so it's not a real problem anymore.
But I of course like to know what this was.

Stefan.
