Since there seems to be a fairly strong interest in Unix history
here, I recommend to anyone with access to a good technical library
with a journals section:
_The Bell System Technical Journal_, Volume 57, No. 6, Part 2,
July/August 1978
The issue topic is "Unix Time-sharing System."
There are articles by Dennis Ritchie, Ken Thompson, Steve Bourne,
and a cast of thousands--well, maybe not thousands but several...
and (post divestiture)

2, October 1984.
