Well,it was not called 2.2.1.1,so I assume the fixes in the
Release Notes(quite a list) add up to fairly important stuff
(I'm not using Adaptec now,but that could chage with next
motherboard).

On the other hand,it came out with little warning while we were
being told things were "proceeding toward 2.2.5",and it certainly
wasn't called 2.3.

Will 2.2.2 be a CDROM (from Walnut Creeek)?

While the FreeBSD website mentions 2.2.2 under "Latest News",
the Release Information page still points to 2.2 as the latest
release and the Getting FreeBSD page has links to 2.2.1 and
a non-working link to 2.1.7(should be redirected to 2.1.7.1).

(I'm still using 2.1 and expecting that 2.1.7 will be used in
any short term upgrade or new install, but hope 2.2.x will get
its reliability unimpeachable before 3.x hits release...
sooner or later I'm going to get pushed by the fact that
port upgrades are of course not designed for 2.1!
Is 2.2.2 substantially the same as the 2.2-stable whose
"upgrade kit" is referred to on the Ports Collection page?)
