I installed anyway and the sockets I have scripted work fine but packages using IO::Socket fail, for intance Net::FTP. I know there is a socket issue with perl and bsdos 3.0 but I have installed the kernel patch which claims to solve this and recompiled the kernel with COMPAT_SOCKADDR and in any case cannot find any instance of the offending 'S n C4 x8' pack format anywhere.
