We've been using a Boca BB2016 to connect a FreeBSD dialup server to a
USR MP/8 modem bank, and have started running into problems at high
traffic levels. Our guess is that we're losing due to dropped
interrupts due to the IRQ sharing (ie, we think that at high traffic
levels even heroic attempts by the sio driver can't keep us from being
hosed by the wretched ISA bus design). So we're looking for a new
multi-port serial board that doesn't need IRQ sharing, ie, one with a
co-processor.

Does anybody have any recommendations for (or against) any of the
co-processor based multi-port serial boards supported in recent
releases of FreeBSD?

Thanks!
