Hmmm.  Works just great on my 2.2 box; I'm using ddd 2.1 Beta1.  I would
actually suspect lesstif since I know it's got a number of problems like
this and I used Motif 2.0 to compile my own version of ddd.  It's never
crashed once and I use it all the time.
