I am currently a Linux user, but am considering possibly switching to
FreeBSD within the near future. I am wondering though, what are the
benifits of BSD over Linux?

My Linux box at the time, is running as an Internet gateway for about 5
other computers. As it is right now, the Linux box is set up and running
great. Would I be just "reinventing" the wheel installing BSD?

Some of the reasons I am considering installing BSD:
A) I'm tired of the Lie-nix vs Lee-nix thing (I say tomato you say
tomato)
B) I've been noticing a distinct trend towards lack of willingness to
help from the Linux community. (In particular, the #linux channel on
efnet...)
C) I think it would be cool to say "I run UNIX", not "I run Linux" :)

Anyways... any help is appreciated
Also, please email me, since I don't read this newsgroup all too often...

Thanks,
David
