As I find the idea of union filesystem really useful, I wonder how the
state of this is in FreeBSD. AFAIK in FreeBSD unionfs is buggy, in
NetBSD it is usable. But I don't really want to switch over to NetBSD
as I like FreeBSD for other things.

It seems that the libc files getdir readdir and fts from 4.4-BSD
are not even moved into the production tree. Is this all what is
needed? Does anybody know what bugs are in FreeBSD unionfs?
