Subject: [386BSD] Will Everex tape controller work with 386bsd ?

I have a 60 Meg Identica tape streamer made by Scientific Micro Systems of USA
with an EVEREX EV-833 controller card. It seems to be QIC-36.

I would like to use this with 386BSD. The tape driver which comes with 386BSD
tries to work but gives critical tape errors. I have tried the wt.c patched by
D. Muntz for the archive tape drive and card but that just crashed the system.

Has someone successfully got an EVEREX controller to work with 386BSD ?
Or can someone please tell me where to get programming information for the
EV-833 from Everex so I can write my own ?

Any help or suggestions will be welcome.
