Some more intersting stuff ........

CPIO - everyone knows that it stands for

     CRETINOUS INPUT OUTPUT PROGRAM
     although the AT&T boys would have you believe it stands for
     "CoPy In and Out".

TAR  - TERRIBLY ARCHAIC REPLICATOR of redundant data, or
       Tape Archiver (was originally a cannibalized "ar" command).

UUCICO  - Pronounced "you-you-psycho!", purportedly stands for
          Unix to Unix Copy In Copy Out.

UUCP   -  Ugly and Unfriendly Communications Program,  also known as
          Unix to Unix Copy.
