I can recommend 'mgetty' for every dialin task. Don't use the ports
version as it it hopelessly outdated. Use the (newest) version in
ftp://ftp.leo.org/pub/comp/networking/communication/modem/mgetty/
It compiles fine under any version of FreeBSD.
