Subject: [386bsd] is there a raw (no translation) mode for tip ?

while using tip I noticed several characters have special meaning
within tip. For example, ^A toggles 'caps lock' mode, while
^P tells tip to send the next char though untranslated.

I would like it if tip where always in that '^P/no translation mode'.
I've looked though the man page serveral times, but I have found nothing
concerning this. I can't believe that this is not an option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Brian
