You may hope in vain...  If it ain't in that directory and you didn't
save it some else, then it ain't nowhere!

Using the GENERIC config file as a starting point, you "should" be able
to customise a config file for your particular box.  This presumes that
you know what is in your box!!!

If you don't, then boot up using the old kernel (kernel.old) and take
note of what is being probed and the results (Port/IRQ/??? etc.) and use
this info to generate the customised config file...
