Since I've been using 2.1.7.1-RELEASE and now 2.2.1-RELEASE... my /etc/pwd.db
file has gotten trashed several times. So far I've tried starting in
single-user mode and rebuilding the databases with 'pwd_mkdb master.passwd'
but.. no such luck... it still says /etc/pwd.db is corrupt or I don't have
access to it (as root)... I've just been reinstalling the bin dist but I have
to add all the users over again.. I noticed right before it gets trashed that
the file had just become one big line... the newline got stripped or
something... all I had running at the time was ircd and eggdrop (not running
as root) ... Any ideas as to what causes this?
