There are two ways of looking at this problem:
1) put ping -c [num-of-packets] -s [size-of-packets] [host]
into your root's crontab for every 10 minutes or so.
2) Go a month like this. If you have to pay for a month of dedicated
service, and you don't get it, you can sue.
