SOunds like it's not recognizing the BT-956C.  You should be having the
adapter at bt0, not bt1 (unless this is your second Buslogic card).  The
0x330 is the default port for the SCSI adapter.  Perhaps you don't have
it configured at 0x330.  I do know that the second generation Adaptecs
don't use an ISA port address (274x, 284x and 294x).  I don't know if
this applies to the Buslogic EISA, VLB and PCI Multimaster.

There is no PCI specific driver for the Buslogic (multimaster) SCSI
adapters.  They all use the same driver regardless of system bus
architecture.
