Data CD's seem to work just fine. With audio CD's I can see
the tocheader and the tocentrys but I just cant seem to get the audio
CD's to actually play.

when trying:

	cdplayer> play 1 1

cdplayer replies with:

	invalid argument

(Workman hangs onto the cdrom drive and causes the whole machine to
grind to a halt).

the kernel complains:

	Apr 18 09:14:18 quadrophenia /kernel: cd0(ahc0:5:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST
	asc:24,0 Invalid field in CDB

Here's the applicable driver configurations:

ahc0 <Adaptec 2940 Ultra SCSI host adapter> rev 0 int a irq 11 on pci1:9
ahc0: aic7880 Wide Channel, SCSI Id=7, 16 SCBs
(ahc0:0:0): "SEAGATE ST32550N 0019" type 0 fixed SCSI 2
sd0(ahc0:0:0): Direct-Access 2047MB (4194058 512 byte sectors)
(ahc0:4:0): "ARCHIVE Python 02635-XXX 596A" type 1 removable SCSI 2
st0(ahc0:4:0): Sequential-Access density code 0x8c, drive empty
(ahc0:5:0): "NEC CD-ROM DRIVE:462 1.14" type 5 removable SCSI 2
cd0(ahc0:5:0): CD-ROM cd present [342040 x 2048 byte records]

on the 2940 I have shut off wide negotiation for st0 and cd0 or else
trying to negotiate at boot up causes the OS to hang. After shutting
off wide negotiation for st0 it works perfectly.

Any ideas? I've been working on this (reading the driver code) with
no luck; any help would be greatly appreciated.
