A few weeks ago I compiled qpop 2.2 on a 2.2.1 system, unfortunately there is
some broken code somewhere in 2.2. When it runs, it doesen't change to the
userid of the person getting the mail, so it cannot read the mailfiles. The
earlier version of qpop off of qualcomm's archive site still works, though, so
I'd use that if you really want to use qpop.

I use the imap/pop3 set of servers from university of washington, though,
their in the ports or packages collection. For one thing the originals compile
without a problem, also it lets you use imap, instead of pop3 if you want.
