  Howdy,

Occasionally I'll find cheap laptops for sale but as yet I've not
bought because I want to be sure Xfree86 is supported. I know
the ThinkPads will run x fine..but what about the Gateways?, or
Sharps? Is there a database of laptops and the video chip that
controls them?

I guess I'm looking for a list of laptops that will run Xfree86. Is
there a page out there with these listed?

  TIA.
