I'm running BSD on a network machine that periodically locks up.
This particular server will just hang, it no longer responds to
inetd requests, ping, or keyboard input including a warm boot
(cntrl, alt, del). Powering this machine down and back up results
in a nominal boot up, and it seems to run fine until it locks up
again in a week or 2. There are no signs of any distress in any of
the system log files, the last record in the log file is usually just
a lame delegation or something similar. The lock up seems to happen
randomly, and has occurred during low traffic times (Sun evening)
as well as high (midday midweek).

It seems like a hardware problem, it's a new machine, just a few
months old. The system is not giving me any clues... Any sugestions
or related experience will be appreciated.

Hardware configuration:

Mother board is Free Tech 586VX
CPU 686/166 Cyrix P166
Bus Logic BT946C SCSI controller
Trident video Card VGATD 9680 PCI 1Mb DRAM W/MPEG
64 Mb RAM - EDO SIMM's
