I'm sorry this is not exact, but I don't have  a PAO kernel file
to look at right now, but as I recall, after the entries for wdc0
and wdc1 it has two pairs of lines that look something like this:

controller  wdc1  at irq? disable port "W--(something)
device      wd2.....

What is the significance of these lines? I thought I was beginning
to understand the kernel file, but I don't get this.
