This is either real, keyboard hardware failure, or timing problem on
the console driver's part. Does the keyboard work under DOS (I guess

2.2-RELEASE can handle keyboard reset slightly better than 2.1.7. Try
2.2-RELEASE, if possible.

No, you shouldn't change the port and IRQ numbers for the keyboard.
They are fixed and not relocatable.
