My FreeBSD 2.1.5 box seem to have lost /etc node this
morning. On booting up the console message says some
thing like:

WARNING: / was not properly dismounted.
/etc/rc: Can't open /etc/rc
.....

It falls into single user state but I can not
see /etc.

Could some one give me a clue to the fix of the problem?
